Acai smoothie

Ingredients:

1 pack of acai frozen smoothie
1/2 large banana
3/4 cup peaches
1/4 cup pineapple
2 tablespoons agave nectar
1 cup almond milk (or non dairy substitute)

This smoothie was so good!. I made it to experiment and I wanted more and more! It was YUMMY!

Take a smoothie pack and defrost it. I ran it under hot water for a minute and it was perfect. Add the fruit(frozen) an then the other ingredients and blend in your mixer.

These are the pack of acai I use. There are two kinds, these and ones with guarana in them. Make sure to get these, as the guarana contains a lot of caffeine. It is made from a seed found in the amazon and is used as a natural energy booster.

Acai:

Acai berries are found in Brazil and com from a type of palm tree. They have been used for centuries by indigenous tribes to treat ailments from ulcers, fevers, blood illnesses, to malaria.

Now people in Brazil have them puréed as a snack or for breakfast with granola an bananas. You can grab a bowl almost anywhere. It was one of the first things I tried when I was there! It’s good for you and tasty.

These berries are full of antioxidants, omega-6 and 9 fatty acids, magnesium, iron, and potassium. They also contain a fair amount o dietary fiber.

Studies are linking this berry to weight loss, and maintaining a healthy weight as it reduces the effects of a high fat diet. It’s also good for your skin and anti aging. Because it helps healthy cell growth. It’s good for your blood and mental health.

Of course any healthy diet will allow you to maintain a healthy body and mind. Some researchers will dispute these “superfoods” and their effects on your body. But your body is made up of what you eat and people who eat better naturally feel better. If you only eat meat and chips and heavy items of course you won’t have as much energy because your body needs more time and energy to digest these things. Healthy superfoods require less energy to digest and are absorbed faster into your system adding to what’s there and giving you a boost of nutrients.

Hopefully you will love this smoothie as much as I do and add it to your weekly routine! It’s great as a breakfast or for a workout. It hydrates and adds energy, plus it’s yummy- did I say that already?
